If it is the latch assembly insert a screw driver into the opening in the latch in the door where it closes around the pin that it latches on.
Ensure that the weatherstrip fits into the corner and matches the corner of the radius of the body flange.
Then pull on the lever as if you were going to open the door while putting pressure on the screwdriver to pop the latch open.
If that s the case the molding is held on by both screws and push in retainer clips.
I m assuming your van is the passenger version with the full garnish molding around the perimeter of the doors.
More force is needed to turn the knob and unstick the latch.
Tighten the screws that retain the panel to the door to 2 n m 18 lb in.
