In this project we will make a digital door lock system with keypad using arduino uno. This automatic password based lock system will give user more secure and low cost way of locking unlocking system. This project can be enhanced by connecting an lcd display to display the outputs. The aim is to control a door lock without keys but using a smart phone instead.

The circuit of this project uses three separate parts namely a reader a controller and door lock. Password based door lock system using 8051 microcontroller circuit design uses five major components a microcontroller an l293d motor driver a dc motor a 4 4 matrix keypad and a 16 2 lcd. Both passwords can be changed as and when required.
